MoCo COVID-19 Outdated Graphs—April 11, 2021
On April 11, 2021 MoCo COVID-19 faced a small bug issue. The problem derived from caching. This bug has since been resolved.
We'd like to thank you for your patience and apologize for the inconvenience as we resolved this issue.
The graphs in the email sent on April 11, 2021 had potentially outdated graphs. Only some users were impacted by this issue, although, all
the text in the graphs has updated correctly. Since this issue was discovered, users have been sent a second email to their inboxes with
The text updating and the images not changing has led us to believe that this issue was somehow connected to the browser and email cache system. All of the images we send use the same
name reference and point to an image on one of our MoCo COVID-19 servers. Some browsers and emails (to reduce the load on your computer)
will store the image locally. Then, if you ever need to see that same image again, it can simply pull it from your local computer. With that said,
our images use the same name reference but as time progresses these images are updated, but if your browser believes that they have the same name reference it could simply pull the image
from your local computer instead of getting the latest image from our MoCo COVID-19 servers.
How has this been resolved?
We are working on re-organizing our file infrastructure systems to prevent a similar issue from happening again. Once again, we apologize for the incovenience
and hope to catch you soon in your next newsletter. If you have any questions, please feel free to send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks again!
